Hi all,
Battery is LiPo 90mAh.
Charging current (IOUT)is 20mA. ->K = 320, -> RSET = 39K.
with the above parameter, ITERM is 2mA, which is below the minimum ITERM 5mA (datasheet).
Is it possible for the controller to detect Charge Done condition…
Hi,
It looks like this may be an issue in the input stability. Are you seeing a similar waveform on the BQ24073 input that you see on the BQ24080? Can you confirm that this behavior doesn't occur when connecting the load directly to the BQ24080 if possible…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24080 I have designed the application circuit of bq24080 as given in its datasheet to check its working. But when i tried to charge the Li-ion battery, it did'nt get charged and the bq24080 got heated up and i think it…
Part Number: BQ25120A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24080 , TPS62740 , , TPS62802 , BQ25155 Dear,
Is there already a fully integrated IC on the market that combines the following IC blocks for powering a wearable Li+/LiPo?
Battery charger unit (reference…
A couple of other devices to look at:
1.) BQ24080-this device does not have battery detection.
2.) BQ24040-a much newer device and widely used.
.3) BQ21040- similar to the 24040 but in a sot23 package.
Hello
The LM3658 has STAT1 and STAT2 pins to provide more information on mode of operation. If this is required see BQ24080 or BQ24081.
Note that the LM3658 and BQ24080 / 81 do not have input over voltage protection (OVP). Input voltage is limited to…
Bill,
Thanks for the quick response on this one.
Ill work with the engineer to evaluate if the bq24010 or bq24080 fit better for their requirements.
Best Regards
JP
Hi Ross
The battery will require a charge voltage of 4.1V and charge current of 25mA, termination is probably 10% or 2.5mA. The accuracy of the current is not listed. The bq24031 is designed for larger batteries and scaling down to 25mA / 2.5mA will…
1. I am using TPS81256 & bq24080.
2. Attached is my circuit.
Comments required:
1. Can you please provide comment on circuit.
2. Do TPS81256 & bq24080 have reverse polarity protection? Otherwise I have to use schotkey diode in my circuit.
3. …
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ24081 , BQ24080 I am confused about the operating temperature range of the BQ24081. In the datasheet under Recommended Operating Conditions I see 0C to 125C which seems straightforward enough.
But the part has temperature…
