I wanna kown if the BQ25756E can use as a narmal charger that power path can be work. when the adapter plug out ,the battery can supply the system though a MOSFET.
Part Number: BQ25756E Hi,
I'm exploring battery-focused design and initiating the development of a BMS system catered to a capacity range of 240Wh to 300Wh.
Please guide :
1 ) Can we use the same point of connection as input of solar panel (MPPT)…
Hello JH,
Thanks for the new information. I think the BQ25756/BQ25756E will be the best fit for your application. These ICs can do MPPT or Maximum Power Point Tracking. MPPT is used to find the max power point of a solar panel. The BQ25756 can also handle…
Hello Wu,
We have Three options BQ25756E/BQ25756/BQ25750
BQ25750- Direct power path option.
BQ25756- no Direct power.
BQ25756E- similar to BQ25756, except has a lower max Vin of 36V.
All three have MPPT function and charge current up to 12A.
Bets Regards…
Part Number: BQ25703A Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25750 , BQ25756E , BQ25798 Tool/software: Hi, I have 12V input and I need to charge a 3cell battery Li-ion so I'm thinking of using a a buck-boost charger. Is there a model that can work standalone…
Hello Saurabh,
I think the BQ25756E would work well for your application.
If you are using a USB 100W adaptor, you can use the TPS25751 to set and request the USB power contracts. If you use the BQ25756E EVM with the TPS25751EVM, you'll need to make sure…
Hello Derek,
Thanks for working with this. I think you'll need an MCU for the power contracts. Each BQ25756 will need to have the input current limit set to half of the usual limit. This will prevent both BQ25756s from crashing the USB adapter.
To…
Hi Kevin,
Thank you for reaching out!
The TPS25751 has integrated I2C control for the following TI battery chargers
BQ25756, BQ25756E
BQ25790, BQ25792, BQ25798
BQ25713
BQ25731
For chargers not included on the list, they would need to be configured via…
Hi Luis,
I definitely have the BQ76905 down. I was confused because I’m using both the MPPT BQ25756E as my buck boost which has TS NTC connection to stop charging. Then I also have the BQ76905 which does much more with the cell balancing, internal, external…
Hello Dante,
UVLO and VVAC_OK only apply to the converter operating in forward mode.
In the lab, I'm able to measure reverse operating at a minimum voltage of 3.8V. Are you using the BQ25756E EVM for these tests?
