Hey Dharmesh,
Those voltages don't seem right when powered at 12V/GND, OUT1 should be 12V and OUT2 should be 0V or very close. Can you try repeat the test without a load, and with a resistor as the load?
Also consider ordering an EVM to test it on…
Hi David,
We bought some DRV8210, DRV8212 and DRV8220. for the moment we only tested DRV8210, DRV8212 and it is not a solution because (same as in your tests) it still consumes a few mA of leakage when in sleep mode and outputs are connected to high.
This is…
Hey Dan,
For this application you would be better served by a part that has Independent 1/2-Bridge Control as an option. These devices are designed to function as high/low side drivers as needed. The DRV8220 is a 20V/1.76A option, or the DRV8243 is a…
Hello Ramakrishna,
Ramakrishna Challa2 said: " Can you explain what you mean by "non-inverting"?
I believe this means that the INx and OUTx are "non-inverting". Meaning is IN1=LOW, OUT1=LOW. THis is how the 1/2 bridge independent control…
Hey Bhavya,
The DRV8844 can supply up to 2.5-A peak or 1.75-A RMS output current per channel (with proper PCB heatsinking at 24 V and 25°C) per H-bridge. However, it can't do this simultaneously - 2.5A is also the peak current output for the device…
Part Number: TIDA-010237 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8220
Dear Sirs
Currently, we used TIDA-010237 EVB to test 6mA DC current protection function ,we found some problems
1. Could you let us know, What is the inductance of the coil
2. We make the…
Part Number: DRV8837C Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8220 Hi
I am using the DRV8837C to control latching solenoids and latching relays and might, in the future, also control non-latching devices. I will be powering them with 11V.
Do I need to add…
Hi Kygo,
The DRV8220 is a good option. It has up to 18V supply and 1.75 A peak.
Another option is the DRV8231 which has a little more current and voltage.
Let me know if there are any questions about these two parts.
Part Number: DRV8800 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8220 , DRV8876 Hello Team,
One of my customers is using DRV8800PWPR package for driving relay.
What is RθJA during Pulse ON time is 10mS and OFF time is 3sec?
The customer is looking at transient…
Lu,
1) Your thought process is correct.
2) Your thought process is correct, but the accuracy at these current ratings is going to be pretty poor. 33% of your 45mA range.
3) I would consider the DRV8210 or DRV8220 for these voltage ranges and a much lower…
