Part Number: LM3492 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS61165 Tool/software: Hi
I have a design need for a 2 channel 16 string IR/RED Leds, this part seems to fit all my needs except for the current regulation
Here are the following parameters
Vf = 2…
Part Number: LM3492 Hi TI,
the resistors RRT and RIREF set the switching frequency fSW of the boost converter and the LED current ILED respectively.
Figure 16 shows values for ILED of 150mA only. Determining for other values is not possible.
A small variation…
Part Number: LM3492 I'd like to connect some LM3492 signals to an MCU.
The datasheet 7.1 Absolute Ratings shows Output Voltage values for COMM, DIM1, DIM2 only,
but what about Max Input voltage? Is it the same?
And what about VEN max?
There are also…
Hi Yichao, thanks for your reply. My PWM frequency is 1.5kHz. When my PWM is 0 I have approx 1V on my VFB PIN. When I'm using PWM period of >=300ns my VFB will be 1.6V and 1.85V depending on which LM3492 (I have two different string voltages) I'm looking…
Part Number: LM3492 Hi TI team, We had another customer's RMA. Three lamps failed again. Please see picture of damaged IC. Can you confirm what internal circuit may cause this severe eruption? MOSFETs? Thanks
Part Number: LM3492 Hello,
from 8.5.1 of the data sheet, I can see that overvoltage will be indicated , but what else will happen?
The following I tried with my evaluation board:
LED string with 43V forward voltage
ILED1=100mA
dimming over PWM
Vin 10VDC…

Hi there, We had some ICs (LM3492/-Q1) failures on a customer's site. Just wondering how well this IC can handle discontinues mode if used with light loads? Thanks
Part Number: LM3492 Hello,
what would happen, if the Vin overshoot Vf of the LED strings?
Example:
Normaly Vin is between 20V and 42V, Vf is 43V. But sometimes it is possible, that Vin rise up to 50V.
Regards,
Andreas

Hello,
I want to use the LM3492 to drive only one string of 16LEDs in series (45V), with 50mA.
My plan is to use Iout1; leave Iout2 open; connect DIM1 to PWM and connect DIM2 to GND.
Do you think it works?
