WE have used SN74LVC1G86 , Xor Gate . where two digital IO from micro-controller goes to this X-OR inputs. Both have 2.2K pull up resistor. we have one 0.1uf ceramic cap on Power supply line of this X-or IC.

I will use the SN74LVC1G86 XOR gate and according to the datasheet the maximum input current either at A or B input is 5uA which is negligible (high impedance input)
Also the Zener diode is able to dissipate 800mW.

VCC=3V, what is the VIH maximum ? when the VIH=5V, the power consumption will increased.
but, SN74LVC1G86 will be no this question, why?
