Because of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S., TI E2E™ design support forum responses may be delayed from November 25 through December 2. Thank you for your patience.
Part Number: TAS5601 The FAULT pin is all the time on low and therefore i get no output on the Speaker. I only connected one speaker to one output terminal, the rest of the outputs stay unconnected. Also only one input is connected. I already read it…
Part Number: TAS5601 Hi there,
I want to use the TAS5601 with a modulator in a FPGA. However - I want to use higher switching frequencies than the max. specified 400 kHz in the datasheet.
Is this a problem? (e.g. internal logic will recognize and shutdown…
Marshall,
Sorry for the delay, I didn't have a board and had to get one.
Measuring the TAS5601 in SE mode into 6 Ohm, at 18V I get 5.7W at 1%THD and at 24V, I get 10.1W at 1% THD.
Please let me know if I can take any other data for you.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5601 Hi all,
Could you please let me know how to configure TAS5601 in PBTL mode? The channel pairing is A&C, B&D. Giving reference circuit or similar example would be appreciated. I know there are some newer devices,…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5704 , TAS5601 , TAS5261 , TAS5086 Hi,
Currently our customer uses TAS5704 with TAS5601 as D-AMP for subwoofer.
According to the TAS5704 datasheet page 2, connection between TAS5704 and TAS5601 in BTL mode is as follows…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5601 , TAS5731 The when searching for TAS parts that are industrial temp the TAS5601 comes up. On the following web page, http://www.ti.com/product/tas5601, the parametrics say its a catalog part (I think that means that…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5601 , TAS5602 , TAS5716 Could you tell me any major difference between TAS5601 and TAS5602 ?
We are thinking to use subwoofer with TAS5716 and reference design shows TAS5601
but TAS5602 price is cheaper
Karl, Don is correct that inductor saturation is a likely cause of the problem. The inductor in our EVM, Toko 11RHBP 22uH, is rated at 2.7A for DC current and saturation. So it is possible that your 1.3A inductor is saturating.
When TAS5601 shuts down…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5601 , TAS5731 , TAS5731M Which of the TAS5601, 5103 and 5102 class-D power stage can operate in parallel BTL mode? Can I use one PWM BTL output of TAS5731 connected to TAS5601 for sub?
