Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630 How does one disable half of the TAS5630? We will only require a single BTL output. Real estate is an issue for us, so configuring for a parallel BTL output is undesirable because we would need to provide for two…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630 , TAS5630B Hello: my customer tells me that during evaluation of the TS5630, they saw that if there was audio signal at the input, upon turnon (bringing voltages up) of the TAS5630, they would get a catastrophic…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630 Hello,
I just finished my TAS5630 board and want to put this in a case without a preamplifier (controlled by a µC) in the same case. But then I realized that the !RESET pin has to be controlled from outside.…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630 Hi
I'm evaluating audio amplifiers for our new products and the TAS5630 seems to be mostly perfect.
My question is: Is it possible to set a current limitation with the OC_ADJ pin? I want to use the same part…
Ben,
Sadly, it sounds like your board was damaged. This usually happens from problems with the input side, not the output current limitation, which actually works quite well.

So far I had no problem with TAS5630 on a 35mil PCB, but I tinned the most current-taking tracks to increase conduction. I reccomend this to if 70mil PCB is not available.
I drived the amp on clipping levels with 6dB crest factor noise singal on 2x4…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5615 , TAS5630 Measurements of a TAS5630DKD2EVM show that no-load usable output voltage in PBTL mode is limited to about 29.4Vrms with a 50VDC power supply or 28.1Vrms with a 48VDC power supply. Those are where the output…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5613 , TAS5630 Hi,
The design objective is to achieve an audio level of 25VAC for as many speakers as the circuit can safely handle. The environment for the amplifier would be a closed box without the ability to bring…

READY signal:
What does READY do? Tas5630.pdf (also called SLES220B) does not really say. The only
clues are in the PIN FUNCTIONS table statement ‘Normal operation; open drain; active high’ and a hint that…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5630 On the TAS5630 Class D Amp IC, are there any electrical restrictions imposed by the device the would prevent it from being used with a PWM output in the 100 KHZ or less frequency range when driving low power loads…
