Hello Hans
As Don says, TAS5706B has a limited combination of clocks and sampling rates.
The only possible way to use a 3-way I2S protocol is with a sampling frequency above 88.2-kHz and MCLK/BCLK= 64-Fs.
Below is a table with possible clock combinations…
Hi, EMu27,
Yes, if you order a TAS5706B EVM, you can swap out the IC for the TAS5716.
FWIW, the power sections of these devices are identical. The only difference is a small tweak in the digital section to allow you to mix some portion of L into R and…
Hi Don,
Thank you for your quick feedback!
Is there any way I can do "real-time" EQ tuning instead of programing the MCU for every time?
Can I ask a question for TAS5706B? Does it support 192 kHz? DS says yes. I tried the GUI (TAS570x). It…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5706A , TAS5706B , PCM1808 Hello everybody
I discovered a distortion at low volumes at output channels A/B(BTL mode) When testing tas5706EVM2. At higher volumes it works fine. At this moment output channels A/B is mapped…
Hi, David,
The TAS5706B is a really old part, and it has some particular things you have to follow when programming the registers via I2C. Make sure you are not violating any of these. They are discussed in the data sheet in the section titled, "I2C SERIAL…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5706 , TAS5706B Hi,
How I verify that data is coming to TAS5706 is or not?
What care should be taken for chip initialization and clocking the chip?
How can we set TAS5706 as master codec?
Thanks,
Paul
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5706B Hello!
Call me stupid but I'm not getting how the sub- and sub+ outputs of the TAS5706b are meant to be used. I get a nice bass sound if I take either single one of them and apply an LPF with a ~300Hz cut-off…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TAS5706B , TAS5602 , TAS5706 , TAS5717 Hi all!
What external components are required in order to get a low level signal suitable for a external active subwoofer connected via the subwoofer PWM output of the TAS5706B amplifier?
