Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5943 Hi,
Is it possible to convert the current driving output of the TLC5943
to PWM voltage? e.g. with a termination resistor V=R*I.
Thanks,
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5943 I have a TLC5943 EVM (2 actually), that when powered up seems to be functional (no smoke, and the LEDs are driven in a very colorful 'scrolling rainbow' scheme).
When I start up the GUI from my Windows-XP…

Hi, Will,
There's no problem for the configuration.
It needs to keep refreshing since TLC5941 has no auto display function.
You can refer to TLC5943 which has Auto Display Repeat function.
Thanks.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TLC5943 Hello ,
I need to how to change the carrier frequency for a TLC5943.
I want to slow down the frequency that the PWM is producing.
Thank you for your help!

Hello Rick,
The IC is intended for applications which show static pictures for a longer period of time. So whenever the picture is changing, BLANK can be set high to turn the outputs off and reset the GS counter and during BLANK=high, XLAT can be used…
The TLC5940, TLC5941, TLC5942, TLC5943, TLC5944, TLC5946, TLC59461 ICs do not have a default dot correction value at startup. Each startup condition can generate a random dot correction (DC) value. This DC value limits the maximum current per the equations…
