Part Number: TLV320AIC3100
Hello,
We are trying to port the tlv320aic3100 codec with i.MX8MP from NXP. Bitclock can be seen below when we try to play something but this is not the case with MCLK. What could be the reason for this? Configuration for the…
Hi Bruce,
You may use BCLK as clock source, this seems a ratio of 64 compared to WCLK so the PLL configuration should be:
PLL_P = 1 PLL_R = 1 PLL_J = 28 PLL_D = 0 NDAC = NADC = 7 MDAC = MADC = 2 DOSR = AOSR = 128
You should write thes registers to configure…
Part Number: TLV320AIC3100 Hi,
What is the input Signal level (Amplitude)of CODEC IC from MIC interface ?
Can we give the input signal voltage range up to AVDD of CODEC from MIC ?

Part Number: TLV320AIC3100 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: PCM3070 I just installed Purepath Studio and want to use it to design the DSP portion of a TLV320AIC3100.
The GDE only shows frameworks for PCM3070 and PCM51xx
How do I apply this to the TLV320AIC3100…
Too bad about the (lack of) GUI support. This is a great device and when I get it working it will save me a lot of cost in out new product design. I’ll try what you suggested and open a new thread if I get stuck.
Hi Mani,
The best way to determine this number is to configure the device and measure the current draw from each rail during operation. Ordering an EVM and replicating the final setup could help determine this.
I apologize but in short, there are too…
Hi Mani,
That is correct, a filter is not required at the output. You can optionally include an AC coupling cap (1uF is okay) or an LC filter. If you choose to add an LC filter
You can calculate the current drawn from the speaker with Po = V^2 / R and…
Hi Neethu,
We need to confirm that the signal delivered to the speaker is clean. What I'm hearing is high frequency harmonics/distortions. Can you replace the speaker with a load and measure across it?
Thanks, Jeff McPherson

For the TLV320AIC3100, is there a single command or hardware condition to put the device in a low power (sleep) state? Or must I separately shut down the Class D amp before removing power from IOVdd and DVdd>
