Part Number: TPS5420 Dear TI Team,
One of my customer have the issue below:
The point being tested is U22 foot number 8. It can be seen that the pk-pk voltage is unstable and there is a random drop to 26 V
causing a signal drop below 100,000 and high…
Part Number: TPS5420 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS5430 , TPS5410 Hi.
There is no the ESD Rating in TPS5420's datasheet.
But, TPS5410, TPS5430 has the ESD Rating.
Why no ESD Rating in TPS5420's datasheet and what is TPS5420's ESD Spec?…
Part Number: TPS5420 Hey Everybody,
what would be the reasons if I just get 0.8 volt at the output of my EVM tps5420evm-605 !?
Input 12vdc lab power supply with 3 amp current cut\load =15 ohm 20w\ expect to see 3.3 volt by having R_Vsens=R6=31.6k but…
Part Number: TPS5420 HI
The circuit is composed as follows using the TPS5420. VIN: 24V -> VOUT 5.2V, IOUT 1.5A This IC operates OCP operation in HICCUP MODE. TI recommends that ICs that operate OCP operation by LATCH-UP be used.
Part Number: TPS5410 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS5420 , Please can you let us know the manufacturing process (e.g. CMOS) and silicon geometry for TPS5410 and TPS5420.
Thanks.
Dave
Part Number: TPS5420 I am using an open drain mosfet to control en (pin 5) on controller. Sometimes the chip doesn't start - no output. The mosfet I am using is a ROHM SM6K2. It is maximum leakage of 1uA at 60v. I am turning him off with another SM6K2…
Part Number: TPS5420 I am having a conversation with co-worker. He told me that diode is unnecessary because lower sync fet will catch current. I say that it is easier to commutate a schottky diode than the intrinsic diode in the sync fet. I would imagine…
Part Number: TPS5420 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS5410 The TPS5420 datasheet shows a layout on page. In this layout the input capacitor is on one side of the chip while the output inductor and output capacitor is opposite. This puts the controller…
It looks like the primary difference is in the 80 MHz range. Check the PH node waveform to look for any ringing in that frequency range. If it is present a snubber may help. You can also check the layout to ensure the circulation current paths are…
