Part Number: TPS63802 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS2116 Hello Tech Support, We are encountering an issue with the TPS63802 IC on our boards, where it gets damaged occasionally when powered via a USB wall adapter. Interestingly, this problem has…
Part Number: TPS63802 Hi Experts,
Today I read an AN called Basic Calculations of a 4 Switch Buck-Boost Power Stage as attached and found the formula as below.

May I ask why the D is related to the efficiency?
Also here is the calculation…
Hi Alpesh,
Do you have EVM on hand? if yes, could you try with EVM only to evalute output capability, because it can help to avoid unexpected load.
For TPS63802, i think it can support your application unless UVLO_off be triggered.

Tao
Part Number: TPS63802 I am writing to seek your expertise regarding a thermal management issue we've encountered in the power circuit of our latest PCB design. We have observed a temperature increase ranging from approximately 6°C (when the battery is…
Hello Daniel,
Please have a look at chapter 9.3.4 of the datasheet. if the input voltage is below the UVLO threshold, the device is in off state.
It is possible that some charge is still present on the output capacitor after you reduce the input voltage…
Part Number: TPS63802 When I use the Power Designer simulations, I only got the Startup option to work without failure, the other 3 options didn't work.
Part Number: TPS63802 Hello - We are trying to use TPS63802 for a battery powered application to boost a 1-cell LiFeP04 battery to 5VDC. In this application, we are relying on the output to be disconnected from Vin when the EN pin of TPS63802 is low. However…
Part Number: TPS63802 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS63000 , TPS63806 , Hi expert,
TPS63000 is usually used as TEC driver, but its output can not sink much current. I would like to see the sink current capability of TPS63802 and TPS63806.
Thanks.

Hi, TI support
I have a question about supercap charging circiut used IC TPS63802. Why the demo board use INA181A4 IN+ and IN- pin? How to reserve connect to INA181A4 IN+ and IN- pin?
I confused about it if the…
Part Number: TPS63802 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TIDA-050017 , , TPS55289 Hello,
I would like to use a buck-boost converter to drive a TEC similarly to how the TPS63802 is used in the TIDA-050017 design guide but with a higher current output. Do you…
