Part Number: DAC8562 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC8563 Figure 99 of the data sheet for the DAC8562/DAC8563 shows a circuit for creating a bipolar output using the DAC8562. I am curious why the DAC8562 was specifically chosen, and none of the other…

Hello Mike, Thanks for the detailed explanation. The DAC8750 can be used with a minimum of 10V for the analog supply and unfortunately that wouldn't help solve the problem. Please check out TIPD155. It uses a partially discrete approach to generate…

Part Number: ADS8568 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DAC8563 , ADS8584S Hello, I'd like to use an ADC which has 16-24 bit precision, high sampling and 4-channel bipolar input of +-2.5V . ADS8568 seems interesting to me however it has 8 channels.…

Hi Oscar, The DAC8563 has the internal reference off by default. You will need to enabled it via SPI before the outputs will update to midscale. Alternatively you can supply your own external reference voltage at the Vrefin/Vrefout pin.

Darnell, The oscilloscope plots look correct at first glance, but I do have a few questions. Is /LDAC tied low or high? The DAC_SYNC_ISO, seems to be the same for both the DAC8563 /SYNC and DAC8568 /SYNC. The serial words are different for…

Hello Christoph, If a voltage is applied to the inputs or outputs of the XTR300 that is greater than the power supply voltages, the internal ESD protection diodes will conduct. Current should not exceed 10mA through the protection diodes. It is best…

Hi Ignacio, I'm not quite sure what you are asking. The simulation is not going to reflect the true accuracy of the XTR300 in voltage output mode. The true output should be closer to that predicted by the equations than what is shown in sim. The dominant…
