Part Number: PMP4259 Hi TI expert,
I'm working on my PFC boost converter prototype based on PMP4259. I have reached to the point that I can supply up to 50% of maximum load (3KW) but PF is lower than my expectations. Below I share voltage (yellow) and…
Part Number: PMP4259 Dear TI expert,
I designed a 3 KW PFC boost converter according to PMP4259 reference design based on UCC28070 controller. My design components are attached as a PDF file.
In about 391W output load (383V, 375ohm) all of the required…
Part Number: PMP4259 Hi,
I was wondering if anyone tried to build a Spice model for PMP4259. I am planning to use UCC28070 chip for a 3 kW application and particularly interested in the performance during dynamic load changes such as no-load, light load…
Part Number: PMP4259 Hi,
I'm curious about output voltage regulation for dynamic load change between 0%-100% of the UCC28070? Does it have sth similar to burst mode which can not be considered as voltage regulation! EMI and efficiency performance can…
Part Number: PMP4259 ON WORKBENCH WHEN MAKE DESIGN 3KW 180-260V AC RA1-RA6 CALCULATED 1MOHM 0.75W SIZE 1210 BOUT IN TI REFRNCE PMP4259 USED 1206 0.25W WHICH ONE IS CORRECT IN CALCULATION 1206 0.25W IT IS OK MUST WORK THIS MAKE ME CONFUSED

Hi Jack,
UCC28070 has build in enhanced transient response circuit. It does that by pulling up on the output of the voltage amplifier with an additional 100 uA of current in the event the voltage on VSENSE drops below 93% of regulation (2.79 V). This…
Hello Ulrich, I have already made a 4kW PFC a year ago successfully with the UCC28070A which is a very good circuit that I recommend to everyone. This new study is a functional extension of the previous one, I know it will also work. What I blame your spreadsheet…
Hello,
I have checked the Schematic, PCB and BOM of the PMP4259 as I am desigining a >3kW PFC. However, I cannot understand how the Boost inductors have been used.
From the BOM I have found that the SRW42EC is actually a transformer (Datasheet atached…
Part Number: UCC28070A Hi,
I am using PMP4259 design and made pcb as per gerber file.
During testing when we load upto 300W no issue, at 400W load, out of 4mosfets(Rating - 600V, 30A) - 2mosfets get failed in both the arms.
Kindy suggest suitable solution…
Hi Mownika,
Based on what you provided me, I have a few observations:
VIN appears to be ~400V. You should change that to your expected VIN. That may also explain why the input current is non-sinusoidal.
Your inductors appear to be the same used in the…
