Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4S014 , BQ25120 , BQ25121 Hi,
Today I have a product that is battery powered and shoudl be charged using a USB.
Today I am using the following:
TPD4S014 for ESD /OVP/UVP
MCP73832 for battery charging
ZSP4121…
Ann,
In order to have the TPD4S014 do what they want to to, they will need to apply a circuit similar to this one between the VBUS_SYS output pin and the /EN Pin.
This circuit, when sized correctly, will pull the /EN pin high then low long enough…
Hi, I never got an answer from this question but I will ask here as it is related to the same subject. I got a product that I am powering the U port with the USB power and it is unpowered when there is no USB. Some units of the product are reseting with…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4S014 We are usign TPD4S014 as an ESD for battery charging circuit. I have a question on the board GND and shiled GND connectivity. As per the typical application circuit given in the data sheet for NON-OTG applications…
The ESD is applied at the USB pins (only part of the circuit that is exposed. Yea, using decoupling capacitors where possible and the 3V rail (the one that power the circuit) is one solid layer. The LDO "far" from the USB line and it has several capacitors…
Part Number: BQ24192 Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4S014 Hello. I have been tasked with setting up a new battery charging system using the BQ24192. I have some questions regarding the setup of some of the pins that wasn't clear to me in the data…
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPD4S014EVM , TPD4S014 Hello, I was looking at TI and could not find TPD4S014EVM Gerbers. Are they available? I am using the TPD4S014 at my design and would like to check if i can find any good layout practice at the TI…
Siddharth ,
For over-current protection, look at TPD3S014. For over-voltage protection look at TPD4S014. If these won't meet your needs, please let me know what features you are looking for.
Regards,
USB 3.0 has Hi-Speed Data lines from USB 2.0 (480 mbps), Super Speed lines from USB 3.0 (5 Gbps), and VBUS. Protecting this port against ESD will depend upon which line you are protecting. For the Hi_Speed lines use TPD2E2U06, for the Super Speed lines…
