ISO124: Datasheet Clarification

Part Number: ISO124
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AMC1411, ISO224

Hi Team,

My customer has some questions on the ISO124 that I'd like to get your assistance with.

The data sheet electrical characteristics table lists typical slew rate as 2V/us. Later, in the data sheet, there is a paragraph that discusses slew rate in the context of isolation mode voltage.

First, they are confused by some of the terminology in Section 8.1.3:

  • In the first sentence, should 1000Vus actually read 1000V/us?
  • In the last sentence, should 500V/M s actually read 500V/us?

Second, assuming that our assumptions about the terminology are correct, we are confused by the difference between the 2V/us slew rate, described in the electrical characteristics table, and the 1000V/us described in section 8.1.3.

Thanks,
Mitchell

  • Hi Mitchell,

For the ISO124, yes - those two entries are V/uS.  Isolation Move Voltage (IMV) is the dV/dT rejection across the isolation barrier while the 2V/uS slew rate is the small signal response of the ISO124 output.  Have you looked into the ISO224?  If you need the wide body package, please look into the AMC1411
