TLV7041: Pspice model issue

Hello

I've discovered that the model of this IC has not the open drain output, it has the Push pull output as the TLV7031. To verify this please implement the following simulation:

as you can see the output goes high even if there is a 1k pulldown. How can you explain this?

could you provide me a workaround?

Hi,

thanks for your contribution, I've used pspice because using TLV7031 was working fine. I'was wondering if there are any changes in the pspice model of tlv7041 to make it open drain

I am guessing we copied the TLV7031 accidentally when we extracted the pspice model. We will work on getting you the right one. In the meantime, I hope you can take Kai's suggestion and use TINA for now.

Hi,

I've tried the model in my simulation but it behave exactly as the old one: it seems to have a push pull output. Did you try it?

Had a few minutes and I tried this model of TLV7041. This one works for me.

I have attached the TINA version and the .LIB text file of the model.

Thanks for your cooperation,

as I wrote before I have a complex pspice simulation with many components, much more than you can see in the first picture I've used to explain the issue. Using TINA for me means at least a week of work with the question mark if models from other suppliers will work in TINA.

So the question remains: does TI have a Pspice debugged working model for this part?

the .LIB file I attached is from the same TINA design I tested and it works. This model is open drain and will not provide a proper output signal if a pullup is not connected.

Hi Chuck,

Thanks for your help, probably I did a mistake in assigning the model and i was still using the old one. Now I've tried again and the model you have attached seems to work properly as open drain.
