LM2901: input bias

Hi Team, 

Please can you help confirm / correct the below as needed, I have an active DIN, the customer is asking to confirm that the bias current is an output (shown by negative in the datasheet) not an input. 

here's my thinking:

from the block diagram on P11 I believe current should flow out of the device which would fit with the negative in the spec. The IN+/IN- connect to the base of two PNP’s which will source rather than sinc. There’s also a short mention on the forum which matches this:

 The input stage base current flows from V+,  through the Darlington B-E's, and OUT of the input pin towards ground.
