INA849: Clarification on Note (2)

Hi Team,

Can you give us some clarifications on what exactly the Note (2) "Short-circuit to VS / 2" on the INA849 datasheet means? We've seen the ±34mA short-circuit current on the characteristics table but we just don't exactly understand what note 2 indicates.

Hi Jejomar,

this simply means that the output is short-circuited into midsupply when being powered from a single supply voltage and into signal ground when being powered from a bipolar supply voltage.
