OPA445: ESD information

Hi Guys,

Good day. Could you help to provide us the ESD(HBM/CDM) specifications for these parts below which is under OPA445 and OPA544. I have provided all the OPN below to clear things up for the customer.

• OPA445AU
• OPA445ADDA
• OPA445AP
• OPA445BM
• OPA544F/500
• OPA544FKTTT
• OPA544T

    Hi Jonathan,

    The OPA455 and OPA544 are legacy products developed in the '80s and '90s. We will have to ask our Quality department to search the archives for the ESD information. If there is ESD data available, it will likely be specific to one package type for each product. However, that shouldn't present an issue because the package normally doesn't have a big affect on the ESD capability of a particular product. 

    Since these devices were developed a few decades ago the ESD information is going to be limited to the Human Body Model (HBM), but might possible include the old Machine Model (MM) information as well. We'll have to see what Quality can find.

    Since we are coming up on the US Independence Day weekend and holiday, do expect a delays in receiving a response.

    Hi Jonathan,

    I received a very quick response from our Quality team. Here is what they were able to find for the ESD performances:

    • OPA445AU – HBM 2KV
    • OPA445ADDA - HBM 2KV, CDM 500V
    • OPA445AP - HBM 2KV, No CDM data available in PDIP package
    • OPA445BM - HBM 2KV, CDM is not applicable due to package type.
    • OPA544F/500 - HBM 1500V, No CDM data available
    • OPA544FKTTT - HBM 1500V, No CDM data available
    • OPA544T- HBM 1500V, No CDM data available

    Because of the age of these products this is the extent of the ESD information we are able to provide.
