Hello Switch,
As Kia mentioned the Ref pin is used to set the output at 0 Vsense input. If you have a noisy Ref you can get issue with your output. If you measure with respect to the REF pin it will help in error created from a changing Ref Voltage and some noise or drift elements of the Ref voltage.
