THS3491: device selection

Part Number: THS3491
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA695, OPA2677, LMH6702

Team,

Looking for power driver that supports:
0 to 30Mhz signals
+/-4V peak-to-peak (for a sinewave signal)
for 50 to 100Ohms impedance line

Do you think that THS3491 is ok for those specs?
Any other suitable (and available) devices you would advise?

Thanks in advance!

A.

  • Of course Anber the THS3491 (highest slew rate CFA out there) can do this.

There are many lower Io CFA's that can also do this on +/-6V supplies for these non-RRO solutions.

OPA695 comes to mind. LMH6702 is a close alternate - duals might be the OPA2677.

  • Hello A,

THS3491 and the other devices Michael suggested would work as well. Depending on the gain configuration needed, these devices might be a bit overkill. Here is a list of devices that work for your design (critical specs based on the list you provided would be output current (at least 80mA), slew rate (at least 800 V/us), and bandwidth). You can further filter this list using the column on the left such as package, channel, and DC/AC specs.

    Thanks!
