INA225: Utilizing for Insulation monitor

Hi,

Could you let me know that INA225 can be utilized for IMD(Insulation Monitor Device)?

I found TIDA-00440. if it's proper to utilize for IMD, please provide guidance.

customer wants to use it for 1000V.

    David,

    Based on your diagram, is it correct in assuming that you are looking to support a design here that would be placed on energized lines sent to the consumer? Unfortunately, as answered in this forum post, TIDA-00440 is probably not a good fit for this as it is, as this design was intended for use on unenergized lines. 

    Many facets of the design may be used to support such an effort though. The INA225 was chosen in this design as it has adjustable gain, and the designers used this to maintain maximum full scale range across the range of potential insulation resistances for the purposes of error mitigation. This is the only current sense amplifier in our portfolio with adjustable gain, so if this is a desired feature, this is our only offering here.
