LM339LV: Which pin definition is correct?

Part Number: LM339LV
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2901, LM339

Hi

We suggest customer to use LM339LVPWR to be alternative solution for LM339PWR. but we find there is pin  assignment strange in datasheet.

So we need team's help to point out which one is correct? Please see IN1 and IN2 pin definition.

BTW, please help us to double check the pin definition for LM339PWR as well.

Thanks

  • HI Paul,

We are aware of the issue and are in the process of correcting the datasheets.

For reference, we now try to use the original 50+ year old National Semiconductor LM2901 naming convention, which is correctly reflected in the Fig 5-3 drawing shown above.

40+ years ago, the TI second-source version of the LM2901/LM339 was released with the names of channels 1 and 2 swapped.

THIS DOES NOT CHANGE THE ELECTRICAL FUNCTIONALITY. The two pinouts are still electrically compatible, just the NAMES of CH1 and CH2 are swapped.
