TL072H: HIPWR missing info

Part Number: TL072H
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL072

Hello,

While looking at the datasheet for TL072HIPWR, I was unable to find the following information:

Supply Current

Equivalent Input Noise Voltage

Input Impedance

I'm looking at it in reference to the non-TL072xH parts listed in the document. It seems the new part was listed with different information. Unless I may have missed that info somewhere?

Thank you!

  • Hi William,

All of this information is in the datasheet.

    1. Supply Current is called Quiescent Current (Iq) and can be found on page 18.

    2. Input Voltage Noise can be found on page 17. Noise specs are give for 1/f noise (0.1 - 10Hz) and for noise spectral density at 1kHz and 10kHz.

    3. Input Impedance can be found on page 17 under "Input Capacitance". This is actually a typo and should say "Input Impedance". But notice there is a resistance and capacitance listed for the specification.

I recommend taking a look at our TI Precision Lab Videos. These videos will give a little more information on some of the specifications you are looking for and how to apply them to your design.

    Thank you,

    Tim Claycomb

  • Ah, I see. The different format threw me off. Thank you!

I have a new question. It seems the noise is higher and the input resistance is lower on the TL07xH than the previous models. Do I have that correctly?

  • Hi William,

yes, the noise is considerably higher compared to the legacy TL072!

Because of the very much higher noise, especially at low frequencies, for me personally they disqualify themselves for low noise audio apllications. It's hard to accept them as true "next-generation versions" of the legacy TL072...
