INA260: I2C scanning problems

Hi I have a controller cards with 8 INA260 (I260AI 05KG4 A1YD) that have been working flawlessly, but now I have got a new batch of cards (I260AI 07KG4 CPG8) this one are not responding correctly when I use I2C scanner. Addresses used are 0x40 to 0x47 and everything is fine when I scan the old one and I also get the correct response when reading the data, but with the new one only 0x44 to 0x47 show up during scan and then when I try to read data from this four addresses I get an error like it is not the correct IC. Any idea what could be wrong?

Hello Halldor,

It's hard to say for sure, but my best guess here would be that before you were operating on the edge of the device I2C timing requirements, and then with the lot to lot variation of devices, the timing did not work with the new ones. An easy way to test that would be to try smaller pull-up resistors, and try different communication speeds. (You can also measure your timing and compare to the datasheet specifications).

Also, I cannot verify the markings for the second batch of devices you mentioned. Can you double check that it wasn't a typo?

Not yet I am working at home, you know Covid, hopefully it will be possible for me to collect a oscilloscope from work next Monday. I have change the clock in software, but have to verify that it has happened with the scope .
