Scale input of (2.6V - 0.40V) to output (10V - 1.8V)

This solution solves a similar problem I have been trying to solve.  Is there a chip I could use to invert the bias from positive to negative after the amplification stage here?  Same voltage values(1.8 to 10V), just negative instead of positive.

The circuit above, although effective, is drawing a lot of current.  The battery I'm using as a source gets drained rather quickly (in under one minute) when the circuit is on.  Is there any way I can limit the current being drawn in this circuit?

what opamp you are using ?

as this circuit is not draining alot of current in my design.

I've used the suggested OPA171 and the OPA137, which is functionally equivalent, according to the OPA171 page.  I'm using a +/- 12V source.  My Vin is between 0.5V and 2.8V.  I get 1.11V to 8.95V out.
