INA240-Q1: What does "Reference divider accuracy" mean?

Part Number: INA240-Q1

Hi team,

What does "Reference divider accuracy" mean?

Datasheet says "Reference divider accuracy max = 0.1% @ VS = 5 V, VSENSE = VIN+ – VIN– , VCM = 12 V, and VREF1 = VREF2 = VS / 2 (unless otherwise noted), TA = – 40°C to 150°C".
Does it mean reference voltage range is 2.5V ± 0.1% in above test condition?
In addition, do you expect reference voltage range will be also 2.5V ± 0.1% @ VS=VREF1=5V, VREF2=0V? / TA = – 40°C to 150°C?

Regards,
Ochi

  • Hello Ochi-san,

In that first condition the reference will be 2.5V since there is no voltage dividing happening because the ref pins are the same. So it will be the exact voltage placed on the VREF pins.

For the second test condition, the reference will be 2.5V ± 0.1%. The error for the reference divider will always be a max error of ± 0.1% of the effective reference.
