THS4531: Dead outputs

Part Number: THS4531

Hello,

We had a THS4531 damaged during our circuit card test.

Our THS4531 is powered from 5V and has a common-mode setpoint of 2.5V. Its output is connected to an ADC through 100 Ohm (each leg) and 2nF at ADC input.

The THS4531 failure symptoms are as follows :

1) Both outputs of THS4531 are stuck near 0V.

2) Both outputs of THS4531 show a very small impedance (~5 Ohm) to Vs-.

It is possible that the THS4531 outputs have been shorted together or to GND during our circuit card test.

My question :

From the datasheet, it appears that the THS4531 outputs are not short-circuit protected. Should I expect damage from shorting the outputs together or outputs to GND ?

Thank you

Louis Gagnon
