I would like to consider the DRV8829 motor driver for a peak and hold solenoid driver. I see the data sheet online which is dated Oct 2010 but it still is in preview status. Can you please advise when samples / production will be available? Thanks.

Clay, DRV8829 will RTM in early may, but if you are looking to drive solnoids it might make more sense to look at the DRV8842 which has a PWM interface and can drive 2x solenoids. Do you need samples now? If so, I can check if we have some in stock. Best regards, Mike

Michael,

The DRV8842 looks to be a good choice. Also, found a good application note on driving solenoids. Engineer was looking for EVM to evaluate before spinning board. I don't see any EVM for this device. Please confirm.
