Power supply options for OPA211-HT

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA211-HT

I would like to know about the power supply options for OPA211-HT.

1. What are the advantages and disadvantages if I use dual-supply or single-supply? What is the supply voltage you would recommend?

2. If I choose single-supply, does the pin of V- remain not connected or what?

3. Could you recommend a positive and negative voltage regulator for OPA211-HT. My design is supposed to operate up to 200 deg C.

  • Cho,

Answering question 2)  The V- pin must be connected to ground in single supply operation.

I think your general questions on single supply operation may best be answered with this applications note:

I will encourage other colleagues to provide answers to your question on high-temperature power supply circuits. You may also want to post questions regarding power supply circuits in the power management area of our forums. You should provide information on what type of circuits you need-- LDO? Switching Regulator? Voltage and Current Requirements?
