OPA4277: What current is 250µA/amp?

Part Number: OPA4277

Hi, support team

My customer has the questions as follow:

Quad, Low Power (250µA/amp), Precision, Operational Amplifier
is recorded in OPA4277's product page.
What current is 250µA/amp? Is it quiescent current?

”Quiescent Current = ±825µA/amp (MAX) “is recorded in the datasheet.
What does this have to do with 250µA/amp?

Thanks so much.

Best regards,
Yuki

  • Hello Yuki,

For our Precision Amplifier Products the product datasheet provides a product's electrical performances and tells what TI assures for a product so always refer to it first. The OPA4277 datasheet lists IQ, Quiescent Current (per amplifier) as ±825 uA (MAX) at TA = 25°C, and RL = 2 kΩ, as you noted. That is the quiescent current specification for the OPA4277. The 250 uA/amp listed on the OPA4277 product page is not correct.

Unfortunately, when the online product pages were created some errors were made when the information was transferred from the product datasheets to those pages. This is one of those cases. I am not sure who fixes the online product pages, but I'll see if I can find who that is to try and get it corrected.

    Regards, Thomas
