OPA 454 Status pin

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA454

I couldn't quite find the answer to these questions on the datasheet.

1)OPA 454. Does the Status pin(5) have to be tied to V+ through a resistor if the status flag is not being used?

2) If using Figure 76 "Output voltage boost" Would the status pin still be tied to the individual op amps V+ input through a 1M resistor?

Thanks for the help.

  • Hello David,

Here are answers to your OPA454 questions:

    1) OPA454. Does the Status pin(5) have to be tied to V+ through a resistor if the status flag is not being used? The OPA454 status pin is an open-drain output and may be left floating if the function is not being used.

    2) If using Figure 76 "Output voltage boost" Would the status pin still be tied to the individual op amps V+ input through a 1M resistor? Yes. Each of the 3 OPA454 operational amplifiers are operating at a different V+ potential in the boost circuit and each of the status pins would be tied through a 1M resistor to their corresponding V+ pin.

    Regards, Thomas
