Does TI have reference design for differential Probe AFE application

Hi team,

Does TI have a reference design for differential Probe  AFE application? thx

Spec as below.

  1. Input Resistance/Impedance: 1Mohm||<1pF
  2. Analog BW: 1~2GHz
  3. Input Differential Voltage Range: ~ +/-5V
  4. Common Mode Range: +/-8V or Same as above
  • hi team,

    Any someone can reply to my question?

  • Hi Jimmy,

    I think this might be in the wrong forum. I am moving this to the amplifier group.

    Regards,

    Rob

  • Hi Jimmy,

    We don't currently have a specific reference design for differential probes, however I can suggest some parts that may work.

    The biggest challenge with the specs you listed is finding a part with the needed common mode range that also has enough speed and low input capacitance. Typically higher voltage transistors have larger capacitances.

    If you can use a part with a lower voltage input, two OPA859s in a differential configuration may work well for this application. Although they are only 5V parts, they are 1.8GHz unity gain bandwidth and 0.8pF input capacitance.
