comparator

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM311

Hi,

Good Day. Customer is looking for for a UA711CN form fit function equivalent. Dual comparator with strobe function, LM316 is close to what he need, but is not dual. Is there TI's device you can recommend? Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Ray Vincent

  • Hello Ray,

We do not have a direct P2P replacement. The μA711 has a unique combined output (National also had the LM711 - long obsolete).

The closest "modern" dual device would be the LM319 (which is what I believe you meant above), but it does not have a strobe.

The closest functionally would be the single LM311, which does have a strobe. Output will go high when current is pulled out of the strobe pin, the opposite of the uA711.

However, the LM311 & LM319 are open collector outputs. The uA711's strobe function can be duplicated with an external transistor on the output to force it low.

What are the input signal level, speed and supply and logic voltages?

we have not seen any new input on this post, so I will be closing it.  If you need further support, please reply or open a new thread.

    thanks
