AMC3330: AMC3330

Part Number: AMC3330

Dear members,

I'm asked to design a voltage measurement for a 3phase input voltage over 260V. i was thinking of using AMC3330 but there is a question. where I should place the measurement circuit I don't have the nuetral.  So I should make the measurement among the R S T lines. choosing one of those as the reference each time. I'm not sure if I can apply this using AMC3330. can anybody help me on this?

Thanks

Farzaneh

  • Hi Farzaneh,

We can certainly try to help you out with the AMC3330!  If I understand correctly, you have a 3 phase delta configuration with no neutral right?  You can make connections between the phases in a manor similar to what is shown in Figure 9-1 (page 25) of the datasheet.  The Rsns element would sit between two phases, and one end of that resistor would connect into the HGND of the AMC3330 as shown in the diagram.  You could also split Rsns into two resistors and tie mid point of the divider network to HGND.

  • Hello Tom,

It is a great chip but it's expensive for us. I need to design using optocouplers. At least it's the only idea that I have right now.

Thanks a lot for your message
