TL022: VCM at Vs+ = 5V single power supply

Hi,

The customer chose TL022 instead of NJM022M, but is using it with a single power supply.
I think the headroom is the same (up to 3V, TYP 2V) when using this product with a single 5V power supply, is that correct?

NJM022M is the same as TL022 in the data sheet, but it seems to be about 1V in actual use.

Is there similar data for TL022?

If not, I would choose RRO's OPAMP.

Sorry to bother you again.

The figure I attached earlier was Output swing. I'm sorry.

What I want to know is the common mode input range (when using a single 5V power supply).
I don't think the headroom will change, but please let me know if you have any data.

The datasheet requires a headroom of 3 V to both rails. But this is the range for which the other electrical characteristics are guaranteed in the worst case. The schematic implies that the typical behaviour will be similar to the NJM022M.

This is not a good opamp for a single 5 V supply. You could use the LM358B (requires positive headroom), or better some low-voltage CMOS device like the LM358LV, LMV358A, or TLV9002. (The LM358LV and LMV358A actually have rail-to-rail inputs, but the characteristics near the positive rail are worse and not guaranteed; see section 7.3.2 of their datasheets.)

Hello Hiroshi-san,

TL022 is at least 48 years old (based on data sheet 1st release). The head room of 2V is fine (for 0C temperature device), otherwise nobody could use it at +/-2V. For 5V there are a large number of better alternatives. See Clemens, list.
