TLV1704: COMPONENT MASS

Part Number: TLV1704

When looking to device mass of all TLV1704 (including SEP device) are not consistant

TLV1704IPWR is 80.7mg when all others are 57.1mg

SEP model is 115mg

are these number valid ?

is there a way to download the material declaration document per device to get mass ?

Such differences are plausible for automotive and space devices.

The "Quality, reliability & packaging data download" page has buttons "Download .xls" and "Download PDF".

I agree for automotive vs SEP

but

TLV1704IPWR is 80.7

and the same part in tube

TLV1704IPW is 57.1

I think this is an error...

I tend to agree with you. I also think this looks like an error and I do not know which is correct. Unfortunately this is the beginning of our holiday break and I am not sure I will get an answer until everyone is back in January. I will try to find the answer today but just in case I wanted to prepare you for a potential delay in answering.

I think that gives us a pretty good indication of which number is correct but I will get back as soon as I can with confirmation, most likely the first week of the year. Thanks for your patience.

at this point the team reported that there is a difference in lead frame plating that is causing the difference in weights.

All,

There is a difference in the lead frame between the "R" and non-R version. The "R" has a newer, optimized leadframe and the non-R has a legacy leadframe. The die, molds and production tests are the same - so electrically they are identical.

This is somewhat unusual...usually the "R" and non-R are the same...but not for this device.

And you are missing the "A" in the part numbers below...
