Part Number: INA128
The datasheet specifies Gain Error for different conditions, and "vs" the U and UA part numbers.
Is the datasheet correct when it seems to indicate the "UA" part number has better max gain error than the "U" part number, for G = 1?

I see your concerns. Yes, it is odd one and I think that there is an typo in the field placement. U is higher grade than UA part number and it should have less gain errors.
Based on the published CMRR specification, CMRR in G=1 is higher than UA grade, which is reflected in Min. of CMRR column, so I think that gain error field in G=1 in UA grade is likely a typo, which it may be swapped from the field in U grade.
Enclosed is an article talked about the requirements of well-matched internal resistors in the difference amplifiers, which are the front stage of 3-op amp instrumentation amplifiers.
