TLV8541: solution select

Part Number: TLV8541

Dear team

The customer would like to use OP AMP TLV8541DBVR as a UVP protection circuit, When Vs=3.6V、V-=5V、V+=6.3V

According customer's circuit. The trigger lever is 19V. Dose the schematic is ok?
Or have other suggested solution?

Many thanks

Denny

  • Hi Denny,

both input voltages go beyond the supply voltage of OPAmp and by this violate the absolute maximum ratings. I would add / modify the voltage dividers to keep the input voltages below the supply voltage.

Then, I would add a hysteresis by connecting a high ohmic resistance from the output of comparator to the +input.

Also, the TLV8541 is a OPAmp, no comparator. Why didn't you use a comparator chip?
