Hi,

I'm looking for a fast switching Op_amp that can switch a PWM or square wave voltage between 1V and -5V at 100MHz, current would be around 100mA for -5V

Is there anything available or even close , just to try as a breadboard,

From an output swing perspective, the THS3491 has plenty of speed and output current - you would have to use higher supplies on it and deliver the desired input waveform

Hello Alan,

THS3491 is probably your best bet with ample headroom. We also have the BUF634A for a fixed gain, lower power solution.

I wouldn't recommend testing on a breadboard; a dedicated high speed PCB will give you the best overall results. We have prebuilt and assembled EVMs readily available for testing the above two devices.

But, if you do still want to quickly experiment with a breadboard, we also have LM6171 and decompensated LM7171 in the PDIP package.

Many thanks for your replies they have helped a great deal,

I will update when I have made some progress but at present they THS3491 seems to be ok
