Hi team
Could you give the difference between theses three orderable number? I am confusing the meaning of NOPB suffix.
Hello Shawn,
The difference is in the lead finish. Electrically they are identical.
National used the /NOPB suffix to designate "green", non-lead finishes (similar to the TI "G" codes).
At the time of "leaded" devices, a new "Green" (no lead) version was released with a "/NOPB" suffix (same die, same tests). Both finishes were available for a period for the Green transition.
Eventually, the "old" leaded parts (non /NOPB) were obsoleted, except for a few devices where there was still sufficient demand for the leaded parts.
So in the case above, the LMV7219 is the old "SNPB" lead finish.
You can see the difference in the product folder ordering table:
https://www.ti.com/product/LMV7219#order-quality
Notice that the LMV7219M7 row has "SNPB" in the "lead finish" column.
The LMV7219M7/NOPB row has "SN" (Green) in the "lead finish" column.
The "X" designates the reel size option (3K vs. 1K). See the "SPQ" column.
