INA228: Linux driver missing

It seems the linux kernel currently does not support INA228 (and INA238):

Are there any plans to remedy this in the near future?

Seems INA238 is already supported:

As far as I can see, the INA228 register layout is compatible with that of the INA238.

You are right, the main difference seems to be resolution (16 vs 20 bit).
However, the INA238 driver will need a brushup to also support INA228. Reading out DIEID could be used to determine which is present.

Hello Henrik,

We no longer make or support linux drivers. If there are any on github or other internet locations, those are usually created and shared independently of TI.

What we do have is a program called SysConfig, which can be found here: https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig/index.html?product=ascstudio. SysConfig is a tool that helps generate device code based on your desired settings configuration.
