Hello,
A general question: what differentiates the OPA vs THS vs LMH amplifiers - if anything? High speed is my specific interest in this case.
I think this is perhaps related to historical acquisitions by TI of other semiconductor companies (LMH came from National Semi?; OPA from Burr-Brown?). Regardless, are there actually some fundamental differences between these series when it comes to the manufacturing process or something like that?
I see this chart within the "Analog Signal Chain Portfolio Overview" PDF that is interesting/useful, though doesn't really address my question.
My question is prompted in part by the fact that when I use the selection filters on the website to narrow down an amp that might be suitable for a given project there are usually products available within each Prefix series.. it just made me think one might be better suited for something than another. That said, if the historical company nomenclature is the root of all this, perhaps it's all water under the bridge at this point and the different prefixes don't really matter that much.
Thanks,
