Will connecting the CL pin to GND effectively disable the output current? I would like to use this scheme as a temporary output disable during power-up.

    Hello,

    As mentioned in the datasheet for the LMH6321, the CL pin is designed for regulating the output current within a range of 10mA to 300mA, and up to 700mA if left open.  If you were to GND the CL pin, you may observe 'disable' behavior, but you would need to be very careful about the absolute maximum ratings for the CL pin.  The rating is +/- 1.2V from CL pin to the GND voltage.  A voltage on the CL pin exceeding this range would violate the absolute maximum parameters and cease any guarantees and specified performance ability for the part.

    In short, the CL pin was not designed as a method for disabling the buffer.  Using the pin in this fashion is not entirely explored and may result in potential issues, as per the absolute maximum ratings described.
