USB2ANY: usb2any explorer does not show interface tabs

Hello,

I was using USB2ANY as a GPIO controller with no problems so far. Today I opened the USB2any explorer SW and it does not show any interface tabs to control those.

I tried re-installing the SW and rebooting the PC with no success.

The screen looks like this (no GPIO tab visible).

    Hi Tomas,

    Please let us know what EVM or IC products that are interfacing with USB2ANY GUI. PRAMPS support team does not use USB2ANY product, and I will transfer you to a team who supports the product.

    Hi Raymond,

    there was no other category to select than PRAMPS when requesting support for USB2ANY. I'm using it as a general GPIO interface to my reference HW (TI internal). PLease forward this to the team that owns USB2ANY Explorer development.

    Tomas,

    To my knowledge, no one is actively developing USB2ANY Explorer any more. I have passing familiarity with the codebase, so I might be able to offer limited assistance.

    If you try toggling any of the other interface options, does this bring the tabs back?

    Are you running the application on a 4k display, or using some kind of scaling settings? I note that the image for the interface selection is 25% smaller than expected, which may be part of the problem. You could try running the program in compatibility mode for Windows 8, or play around with high-DPI settings, as this may change how the graphics APIs are processed for the tab control that's missing.

    If that doesn't work, there's also the option of manually controlling the GPIO by loading the DLL yourself - there are a few examples of how to do this in python on the forum, for instance. I can also offer some example code if requested.

    Thanks a lot, Derek. AS you pointed this out, I noticed the line that the tabs should appear looks weird. Playing with DPI and scaling made the tabs visible again.
