INA302: question about INA302 alert delay time

Hi team,

I found in INA302 datasheet 7.3.3 Alert chapter the delay formula as follow, but when use the Vth, ID to calculate the delay time, we get different result. So, I would like to check the correct delay formula and parameter use for calculation.

Vth=1.22V , ID=5uA , Cdelay=494pF are use in the delay formula for example, but we get a 100+ us for delay time, which is different with the result 10us shown in the datasheet. Can you help to explain is there any wrong in calculation process? Thank you!

Hi Darren,

the formula is correct but the given example calculation is not. So forget the 492pF for 10µs. The correct capacitance is 30.7pF.

Unbelievable that this mistake in the datasheet has not been corrected for so many years

Hi Darren,

As Kai pointed out, this datasheet update has been on our “to-do” list for a while. In the meantime, you can use the equations but ignore the example.
