OPA2277: Worst Vos and Ib estimation

Part Number: OPA2277
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM2904B

Hi Team,

Customer is considering OPA2277UA/2K5 and LM2904B for their new design. They're trying to compare the performance with OP2277 and LM2904B with Vos and Ib.

Following are the questions, could you kindly help?

1. When estimating worst Vos, is ±100uV including voltage drift or ±1uV/C should be also added?

2. For Ib, there are two value in same condition, what is the difference?

Thanks.

Regards,

Jo

  • Jo,

Yes the drift should be added. Theoretically you can get a device with a worst case offset of +/-100uV with a drift of +/-1uV/degC. This is a worst case scenario of course.

Regarding the Ib, this appears to be a typo. Ib is worse at hot temperatures. The +/-2.8 nA aligns with room temp data shown below. The over temperature data aligns with the +/-4nA highlighted in the table. I believe what happened is the Ta = -40C to 85C condition was meant to be in the same table row as the +/-4nA and the condition for the +/-2.8nA was meant to be left blank such that it would be for Ta = 25C.

    Best Regards,
