    Hi,

    the rated power depends on the actual layout of printed circuit board. See footnote (5), section 7.3 and section 10 of datasheet.

    The heat dissipation of 2mR shunt can be very easily calculated:

    P = I^2 x R = 15A^2 x 2mR = 0.45W.

    But keep in mind that the package resistance is 4.5mR. So much more heat has to be disspated by the whole package. Using an optimized layout in combination with a 70µm copper PCB is the key factor here when running the INA250 at very high currents.
