INA241B: Input Impedance

Part Number: INA241B

Hi Team, seeking for some support.

May we know the input impedance for this device?

Thank you.

-Mark

  • You can derive the impedance from the input bias current. But IB is approximately constant over the input voltage, so designed with IB itself might be more useful.

  • Hi Mark,

the specification of input resistance only makes sense when the input voltage and the input current follow the ohmic law, at least in a first order approximation and for a sufficient wide range of input voltage. If this is not the case, for instance because the input current undergoes an abrupt change with changing input voltage, it makes way more sense to tink in terms of input current.

And vice versa, if no input resistance is specified but only an input current at a certain input voltage, then I would assume that there's a non-ohmic relation between input current and input voltage.

  • Hello Mark,

All valid points by Kai and Clemens.  More plots should be available in the future as this is a preview device.  Once released we normally provide IB vs Vsense and IB vs VCM.  With those plots you should have all the information you require.
